FORKLIFT ACCIDENT CASE24

| Here you are in a container yard of a freight terminal. An operator worker is required to load the container A on a truck. To do that, he must first move a container right before him to a vacant lot on the left side. Meanwhile another worker is about to check a tag on the container B. |
The lift truck operator pushed the container forward, not knowing there was another worker on the other side. The latter was sandwiched between the two containers and wounded.

| Tips for forestalling the accident
| 1. |
Make out a working schedule as well as working procedures beforehand so that lift truck jobs and other jobs will not be overlapped, and make them known to every worker concerned. |
| 2. |
If such overlapping of the jobs cannot be avoided, post a signalman on the scene. |
